Since the last blog, Quin Street Liars, I’ve been contacted again by Quin Street who apparently were contacted regarding the complaint I filed with the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse and Home Depot. A ‘supervisor’ there told my girlfriend that I was claiming they stole my identity and wanted to talk to me about it. Obviously this is once again not true, which can be seen quite clearly in my last post in which I copied my exact complaint against their company.
They’ve kept calling of course, after promising they would stop, and I spoke with another ‘supervisor’ last night. She talked down to me and implied that their calling me, and lying to me, was all my fault. Then she tried to tell me how marketing works. I responded that I have a college degree and studied journalism and already know how marketing works. I also explained that I know my rights and that our number has been listed on the National Do Not Call Registry for years.
She blabbered on as if I never said anything, and if I did, it meant nothing. I once again asked for a copy of the information they had on me and where they got it from. She ignored my request and dodged my questions. I got mad and hung up.
That said, I did receive an apology from a “Resolution Expeditor” at Home Depot though the survey they also sent was such a joke I never bothered to fill it out. Life should never be reduced to a check in the box or a survey where you only have the options you’re given.
